London-based gastropub operator Food & Fuel saw turnover rise 5.1% to £11.4m for the year to 1 June.

The company, run by former Spirit chief executive Karen Jones, increased EBITDA by 5.1% over the same period to £689,000.

Profit before tax at the company, which operates 13 outlets, dropped 19.6% to £189,000 after a rise in depreciation charges and interest payable.

The company spent £1.2m on new assets, up from £331,000 the year before.
