Faucet Inn is to open its first overseas KuPP next month, MCA has learnt.

The long-awaited opening of the Scandinavian-inspired casual dining concept in the Akker Brygge area of Norwegian capital, Oslo, is set to happen in late-May, founder Steve Cox told MCA.

Cox said the group was also hoping to be on site at Southampton Westquay Watermark in the next couple of weeks for the third UK KuPP. However, he confirmed that the group had pulled out of a deal to open in Manchester’s Corn Exchange.

The group has sold a swathe of pubs over the past six months but Cox said these had been opportunistic deals and that he was keen to continue running pubs.

He said: “It’s still very much part of what we do but for now the main focus on rolling out KuPP. We’re also excited about opening a few more Babels – in Norwich and Cheltenham – so that is keeping us busy for the moment.”
