Ei Group is seeking new partnerships with both existing and aspiring multiple operators across the North of England with the launch of a new targeted networking and recruitment event.

The Multiples event will take place on March 28 at the Spitfire pub in Southport (between 2-5pm) allowing publicans to learn more about EiG’s formats and lease agreements, as well as opportunities in the managed house business.

The focus on the north follows comments from EiG’s divisional director Nathan Wall, who told the Morning Advertiser’s MA500 conference last month that the focus for the Managed Investments business going forward was to bolster its partnerships outside of London.

He said that with seven out of 11 of the Managed Expert JVs currently based in London, there was little appetite to recruit partners from within the M25.

However, he said he was actively looking for partners in the rest of the country, with the capacity to build a pipeline of three pubs per year for the next three to five years.

Recruitment Marketing Manager Matt Ralphs said: “We are proud to have invested £350m in our estate over the past five years with shared success at the heart of the Group. We are constantly looking to recruit the best publicans and provide them with an array of support tools to help build their businesses.

“We feel there are many more opportunities to work with talented publicans across the country and our innovative and varied lease agreements provide an ideal platform for ambitious operators to create and sustain a successful pub business and grow their portfolio of pubs. We are excited to see what opportunities emerge from this event.”
