Eclectic Clubs & Bars, the Avanti Capital backed late night operator, is to convert two of its Po Na Na venues to its new tiki format Lola Lo. A 300-capacity Norwich site is due to open on 12 November, with a 195-capacity Oxford venue also set to open in early December The group, which is also set to open a Sakura in Manchester, said it would be spending £1.8m on the three venues. Reuben Harley, managing director of Eclectic Clubs & Bars, said: “As one of the only operators consistently succeeding in the current trading environment, we are delighted to be able to open these three new venues in quick succession.” The company announced in June that it had strongly outperformed the sector for the 11 months to the end of May 2010, with EBITDA up 57% on the same period in 2009. At the time Harley told M&C Report he planned on growing the Sakura format to between 12 and 15 sites.
