Dorbiere Pub Group, the 52-strong pub company, says it plans to reach an estate of 75 freehold pubs over the next few years. The company, which was founded in 1978 by Robin Gray, currently operates across the north west, the north east and the Midlands. Dorbiere said: “Moving forward the company is still looking to expand its estate with an aim of reaching a target of 75 freehold public houses over the next few years. With a dedicated management team across the business Dorbiere is confident in achieving it ambitious goals and continuing to secure a healthy future for the business.” The company reported a 9% rise in pre-tax profits to £885,858 in its most recent accounts for the year to 30 September 2011. Turnover in the period grew 2% to £14.1m and the company said it was “satisfied” with the results.
