Deltic was the big winner at this year’s Publican Awards – picking up three awards at last night’s ceremony.

The Peter Marks-led group won best late night operator, best pub operations team and responsible retailer of the year.

Moving away from its Park Lane location to Battersea Evolution for the first time, the awards, organised by MCA’s sister title, the Publican’s Morning Advertiser, also saw Greene King’s Rooney Anand win business leader of the year and Shepherd Neame’s Jonathan Neame win the outstanding industry contribution category.

Greene King also won best large managed company while New World Trading Company scooped the award for under 50 sites, as well as best small employer.

Admiral Taverns was announced as the winner of best large tenanted and leased company while Palmers Brewery won the category for under 200 sites.

Best brand went to Sports Bar & Grill.

This year’s charity was provided by Prostate Cancer UK with its Men Utd campaign.
