Deloitte has named the 11 Atmosphere Bars and Clubs venues around the UK that have ceased operations after the company was placed in administration.

The three venues that closed shortly after the administrators’ appointment last month comprised: Chicago Rock Café Maidstone; Chicago Rock Café Warrington and Modello Watford.

A further eight venues have subsequently closed: Chicago Rock Café Barnsley; Chicago’s Halifax; Chicago’s Luton; Chicago’s Macclesfield; Balestra Northampton; Chicago Rock Café Sutton; Chicago Rock Café Wigan and Chicago Rock Café Wrexham.

The future remains unclear for the remaining 13 venues, which continue to operate.

“The joint administrators continue to review options for the sale of these venues,” Deloitte, which declined to reveal further details.

A total of 186 employees have been made redundant at the venues, along with six members of staff at Atmosphere’s Milton Keynes head office.

Atmosphere Bars and Clubs managed an estate of 24 licensed premises across England and Wales, with 75 full-time- and 418 part-time employees. The company was placed in administration just months after the appointment of CEO Christian Rose, who replaced Paul Harbottle.

The company, which is backed by Sun European Partners, operated 19 Chicago’s Bars, three sites under the Modello brand and two nightclubs.
