Loungers, the Nick Collins-led group, has further strengthened its openings pipeline for next year for its Cosy Club brand by securing a site in Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays scheme, MCA understands.
The new site for the brand, which is led by Amber Wood, is set to open in the first quarter of next year.
Loungers is to open a second Cosy Club in Cardiff – the first time it has operated multiple sites for the concept in the same location.
As previously revealed by MCA, the group has secured a site in Mermaid Quay, which is expected to open next summer. The Cosy Club in the city’s St David’s 2 shopping centre opened in 2012 and was the fourth iteration of the concept.
It will mean the group operates five sites in total across Cardiff.
The 23rd Cosy Club is set to open in Norwich this autumn, as part of a planned 25 new sites for Loungers in 2018 – taking the company to 140 sites by the end of the year.
