CM Hospitality, the pub company run by father-and-son team Ian and Craig Minto, is set to open its third pub on Thursday (1 December). The company has secured a Punch Taverns lease on the Fleece Inn, in Addingham, near Bradford. It’s the second time the company has run the pub – it sold the lease on assignment about a decade ago. The pub was previously operated by local restaurateur Chris Monkman. Punch reports that it has received interest in the pub from a number of high quality multiple operators, including a major quoted managed chain. The Fleece Inn is to be run as a gastropub, with a deli and cookery school on site. A spokesperson for CM Hospitality said: “We knew what a great pub it is – and that it has always done well. The previous operator had a number of other businesses. We had slightly regretted selling it over the years – and missed it.” CM Hospitality also operates the Gray Fox, Harsthead, near Huddersfield, which was named Marston’s Top Food pub in the north-east this year. Its other pub is The Sun Inn in Edinburgh, a freehold, which was named Scottish Pub of the Year for two consecutive years at the Scottish Hospitality Awards. Ian Minto is a trained chef while son Craig Minto’s experience includes working at the Michelin-starred Devonshire Arms in the Yorkshire Dales.
