Greene King has renamed its Cloverleaf business Farmhouse Inns and has employed Stephen Martin, former divisional director at Orchid, as business development manager for the division, M&C Report has learnt. Cloverleaf founders John Winder and Gary Douglas stood down from the business, which was sold to Greene King with 12 sites for £55.8m in 2011, in January. The business currently operates 16 outlets across northern England and the Midlands. Among the future openings are locations in Team Valley, Gateshead, and its first Scottish site on the Phoenix Retail Park near Paisley. Martin managed a division of around 100 value food pubs with a turnover of £78m while he was divisional director at Orchid between 2006 and 2012. Prior to that he was senior business development manager at Spirit Group, where he was involved in the roll out of its 241 concept.
