Geronimo Inns founder Rupert Clevely’s joint venture with Enterprise Inns will be known as Hippo Inns, M&C understands.
The holding company for the fledgling managed pub venture is Eureka Inns but the pubs will operate under the Hippo Inns banner.
Clevely told M&C he decided on the moniker because it was “more fun” than Eureka.
Hippo Inns will open its first pub – The Hob in Forest Hill next month.
Enterprise updated the market last week, saying it was on track to have 30 managed houses operational by 30 September.
