Rupert Clevely has appointed former Novus Leisure operations director Dawn Donohue as the chief operating officer for his joint venture with Enterprise Inns, Eureka Inns.

Donohue will start work in September, the same month that Eureka’s first site – the Hob in Forest Hill – will open.

Clevely said: “I have known Dawn, for a number of years and always hoped we might find a way to work together.

“This tremendous news will help us to grow in a series of carefully programmed steps. She will add professionalism and support. Her understanding of the industry will be hugely positive.”

Donohue worked for Novus from 1997 until 2011 – opening many of its London sites then running the Tiger, Tiger estate regionally. She was appointed operations director in 2008, looking after the premium and food division.

In 2011 she became managing director of Brompton Brands, running the business in London and internationally.
