Clive Watson, chairman of City Pub Company, has said the company’s second site in Bristol is part of a strategy of developing hubs in key locations.
The company has secured the lease on Riverside House, on the junction of Welsh Back and King Street, in the city’s Old City which will be converted to its Brew House model.
City Pub Co has already secured the Prince Street Social, close to Queen’s Square.
Watson said: “We now have two in Bristol, two in Oxford, three in Cambridge and it’s about building up those hubs in key areas. That works well in terms of staffing and allows us to develop our offer in the city.
“We are keen to grow in all these strategic areas and would definitely do more in Bristol. We haven’t even touched Clifton, which is a great area for us.”
The building’s landlord, Mileberry, has recently completed an extensive redevelopment of the building, with trading space at ground and basement level and flats on the first floor.
