Sandpiper CI is set to sell its estate of 65 Channel Island pubs to private equity investors LGV Capital for £70million, it has been reported. Sandpiper has 42 pubs in Jersey, 21 in Guernsey and two on the island of Alderney and was put up for sale at the end of last year. The business also owns the Jersey Brewery, which is based in one of the company's drink distribution warehouses. Corporate finance firm McQueen have been appointed to handle the disposal and has run the auction for the group. If Duke Street Capital – the owner's of Sandpiper CI – and LGV agree on the price, the sale could take place in weeks.
