Erik Castenskiold, director of corporate affairs at Mitchells & Butlers (M&B), is to step down from the company next month, after over eight years with the managed pub operator, M&C Report understands. Castenskiold is the latest director to leave the group as part of the operation restructure that was instigated by executive chairman Bob Ivell last November. He joined the company as corporate development manager in 2003, before taking up the role of director of investor relations for four years. During his time as director of corporate affairs he also carried out the role of acting finance director for company and it is thought Castenskiold will look to take up a finance role on his departure from M&B. Last month, M&B announced the early retirement of Kevin Todd, its current business development director, who had been with the company for 25 years. One of Todd’s last tasks at the group was to oversee a shake up of its marketing team, with Simon Cope and Ian Dunstall, who were previously directors of marketing, promoted to marketing director and insight & innovation director respectively. At the same time, M&B said that Una Beck Johnson, its branding, insight & advertising director, was to leave the company after 12 years. The initial round of management restructuring at the company, which took place last November, saw Amanda Coldrick, managing director of its Suburban division; Roger Moxham, managing director of its Value division; and Adam Martin, marketing & strategy director, leave the group.
