Burning Night, the Leeds-based bar business owned by Alex Hazzard, is to open three bar concepts in Manchester’s The Printworks later this summer.

It has taken a 20,000 sq ft unit which will house three bars from August - the Bavarian-style Bierkeller, sports bar Shooters, and Around the World in 80 Beers.

The group has already opened Bierkeller sites in Liverpool, Blackpool and Leeds, and operates the Park Row Bar and Brasserie in Leeds.

The Bierkeller will feature Oompah bands, German food and staff in traditional Bavarian dress, Shooters will show live sport all day and Around the World in 80 Beers promises 200 world beers.

Burningnight area manager Peter Robinson said: “We have invested heavily in the Manchester Bierkeller complex as the Printworks is such a reputable and established area. We know that our Manchester customers will join in our Bierkeller party atmosphere and enjoy all of the fantastic facilities we have to offer.”
