Brunning & Price, The Restaurant Group-owned pub company, is to make its debut in Birmingham this autumn, with the opening of a site in Edgbaston.
The c50-strong group is converting the former home of the Birmingham Medical Institute Conference Centre into The Physician as a nod to its previous usage.
The company has a further five sites lined up for openings over the next nine months, starting next week, with the Oakley Arms in Brewood, Staffordshire.
It will follow this by opening the Prae Wood Arms in St Albans, and the Haighton Manor, north of Preston over the summer.
It will follow the opening of The Physician with the launch of the Dinorben Arms in Denbighshire this winter and the re-opening of the Fox Revived in Horley next spring.
Earlier this year, TRG said it was looking to expand the geographical reach of its pub operation.
The company, which has previously concentrated its expansion in the north west and south east, is looking to secure further sites in the Midlands and also along the M4 corridor pushing into the South West.
It has retained Christie + Co to help with its expansion.
Simon Chaplin, Head of Pubs & Restaurants – London at Christie & Co, said: “We are looking for suitable buildings and sites throughout the West Midlands and around locations such as Milton Keynes, York, Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford and Cheltenham as well as along the M4 to bring their individual style and quality to a wider audience.”
