Brighton Bier, the craft brewery and pub operator, is opening a second pub in the city, MCA has learnt.
The Haus on the Hill will open on the former Southover pub in the city’s residential Hannover area later this week as a tenant of Indigo Pub Company.
It follows the brewery’s first pub and taproom, Brighton Bierhaus, which opened 18 months ago.
Dizzy Gull, the pub kitchen from The Set restaurant, will relocate from Brighton Beer Dispensary to Haus on the Hill.
Brighton Bier director Stephen Whitehurst told MCA: “It will have a traditional pub feel, we want it to be a welcome addition to the community.
“Our beers will play a large part, but we want to make sure there is something for everybody.
“Having two pubs in close proximity gives us a lot of opportunities to do events across the two locations.
“We will look to do food and drink matching and supper clubs, which is really exciting.”
