Pub chain BrewDog has closed down two more of its London venues, both in South London. The news was shared on social media, revealing the chain’s Clapham and Brixton branches have shut their doors.

The news comes seven months after the brand opened up their biggest venue in the UK in Waterloo. In September 2022, BrewDog announced they’d been forced to shut three of their existing London venues due to rising energy bills.

Smithfield Market Arms in Farringdon, Brewdog Dalston, and Brewdog Old Street will shut after being hammered by rising energy costs. The boss of BrewDog has said the craft brewer will be forced to close six pubs overall nationally due to energy costs “with no prospect of any help from a clueless government”.
