BrewDog has announced it has raised $2.5m as it approaches two months in to its $50m US crowdfunding push.
The Scottish brewer and pub operator made the announcement at an annual general meeting at its Columbus Brewery, where it also revealed it had accrued 3,000 shareholders so far.
The AGM featured a welcome from the group’s co-founder James Watt, who laid out some of the group’s short-term plans, including opening its first US BrewDog bar – in Franklinton, Columbus.
Watt confirmed that the group’s $30m would start production in January, put back from the original target of late 2016.
