Bravo Inns, the Warrington-based pub operator, is set to complete on four new sites by mid-May to take its estate to 28 freeholds. Managing director Ken Buckley said the legal processes have yet to be completed but revealed that two of the pubs are Punch Taverns sites, with the other two from an unnamed operator and a private landlord. He declined to name the pubs but said one site in Bryn, Greater Manchester, is to be completed within two weeks and three more - at Macclesfield in Cheshire, Abberton in Greater Manchester and St Helens in Merseyside - in the next four to six weeks. Bravo Inn specialises in taking on predominantly wet-led community locals in the north west. “Virtually all the pubs we buy are under-invested and closed and we are buying them to bring them back to life,” said Buckley. Funding is provided by Albion Ventures. Buckley promised “substantial” investment in the pubs, two of which are currently closed, including a “contemporary” refurbishment against to the standardised design of most of its other sites.
