Brasserie Bar Co, the Mark Derry-led operator of Brasserie Blanc and White Brasserie Co., has promoted Richard Ferrier to the role of chief commercial officer, MCA understands.

In his new role, Ferrier will report directly to executive chairman Derry with direct responsibility for marketing, food, liquor and property overseeing directors in each department.

He will also oversee all commercial elements of both Brasserie Blanc and White Brasserie Co as the company, which currently operates 37 sites across its two concepts, seeks to reach 55 pubs and brasseries in the UK.

Ferrier has been with the company since the end of 2011 and has had successful stints as operations manager for Brasserie Blanc London and for sister company White Brasserie Co.

Since October 2016, he has been operations director for Brasserie Blanc, overseeing the successful refurbishment of its 20-strong estate and its move into the hotel F&B sector.

Prior to joining Brasserie Bar Co, Ferrier helped establish the leisure corporate finance team of Zolfo Cooper (now AlixPartners).

Brasserie Blanc recently opened its second restaurant situated within a hotel at Manchester Airport.
