Roger Moxham, chief executive of Bramwell Pub Company, has stressed that the company has not target numbers in mind for its new Wild Lime concept.
He told M&C Report that the company’s focus for investments going forward is in its community pubs and Wild Lime, the cafe/bar/restaurant concept that launched this week in Southampton, although he added that the company would “almost certainly” invest in its unbranded concepts as well.
Wild Lime is being trialled in three distinct types of venue this summer. In addition to Southampton, which is categorised by the company as a suburban high street site, it will also be put into Banbury, a large town location, and Reading, a city centre site.
Asked if he has a number in mind for conversions to Wild Lime, Moxham said: “No. I say that only because part of the purpose of the three pilots is to understand how some of the different locations within town centres that we operate in respond to the thinking.”
