Boisdale, the London-based Scottish restaurant group, has exited its only pub site, the Lamb at Hindon in Salisbury, Wiltshire, as owner Young’s continues to grow its hotels portfolio.

Young’s has decided to bring the pub back into its managed division, leaving Boisdale to focus on its three restaurants in London, in Canary Wharf, Bishopsgate and Belgravia.

The move to place the Lamb in its managed division and the recent acquisition of the Fox & Anchor in Clerkenwell forms part of Young’s ongoing strategy to grow its hotel portfolio.

Young’s is also adding 13 new boutique rooms to the Orange Tree Hotel in Richmond, which due to open at the end of August. This will take the number of rooms the company offers to more than 450 across its estate.

The Fox & Anchor offers six boutique bedrooms whilst The Lamb features 19 boutique rooms.  Both hotels, which complement Young’s premium pub offering, and will operate with immediate effect.

Operations director of Young’s Hotels Andy Nash said: “We are pleased that we have managed to acquire two fantastic properties to add to our growing portfolio of 19 hotels. These acquisitions demonstrate our commitment to expanding the estate and we are confident that the Fox & Anchor and The Lamb will exceed our customers’ expectations.”
