Longshot, the business led by entrepreneurs Joel Cadbury and Ollie Vigors, has appointed Hector Ross as the new operations director for its growing Bel & The Dragon vehicle, M&C Report understands.

Ross joins the group after spending two years at the Hurlingham Club. Previous to that he was a general manager at Compass Group for over three years.

He joins the company as it gears up to launch a floating restaurant – The Majestic - at its Bel & Dragon site in Reading.

The extension to its existing site in the city has capacity for 40 seated covers or 70 standing, with a fully retractable roof meaning it can operate in all seasons.

The company plans to open its seventh site under its Bel & The Dragon vehicle next spring.

The group, which recently open its sixth site in Odiham, Hamphire, has secured the Swan Hotel in Kingsclere, Berkshire for its next opening as it looks to reach its initial target of operating 10 sites.

Vigors told M&C Report: “10 sites was always the initial target for the company. We hope to reach that in the next 15-18 months, but it all depends on finding the right sites. We will then look at where the next opportunities are for the business.”
