Beannchor, the largest hospitality group in Northern Ireland, is opening its second nightclub in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter in December.

The family run group, headed up by Bill Wolsey, will open Sixty6 as a cocktail bar and nightclub in the city is part of a 1.1m investment by the group into area which has included the opening of all-day café-bar The National and Grande Café.

The new club, on the site of a former bank, will be styled as a Victorian gentleman’s club, featuring original features dating back to the 1890s and decor that has been restored.

The group operates more than 50 venues across Northern Ireland including pizzeria chain Little Wing, The Dirty Onion and Yard Bird rotisserie chicken restaurant, Patisserie Mimi, The National and 5* The Merchant Hotel.
