Barrio Bars is set to open its long-delayed site in Soho’s Kingly Court in collaboration the team behind Brixton’s Sovereign Loss.

The group secured the former Bitter Sweet cocktail bar site in June of last year and it was originally earmarked to be Barrio Regio. However, the group has now said it will be launching a members’ bar called Disrepute there next month.

Taking inspiration from the legendary 60s celebrity haunt, the Pinstripe Club, which once occupied the space, Disrepute is described as “combining classic timeless qualities with 60s counterculture and the best of London’s cocktail culture today”.

Barrio currently operates four sites – in Brixton, Soho, Shoreditch and Angel.

Cocktail concept Sovereign Loss operated above the Prince of Wales pub on Brixton Road for 18 months before closing in June.
