Barracuda has opened its 157th pub, the Cutting Room in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, under its Smith & Jones brand.
This latest opening brings the total number of Smith & Jones pubs across the country to 73. The group has 12 more openings planned before the end of September, including two sites in Scotland.
Mark McQuater, the company’s chief executive, said: "We’re delighted that our expansion programme is on track and we’ve got some great properties planned to open by the end of 2005.
"An element of our continued success as a managed pub operator is the cherry picking of fantastic sites."
