Brunning and Price, The Restaurant Group-owned the pub operator, has opened its 52nd pub, The Red Fox, at Thornton Hough on the Wirrral.

The group said it will continue to grow its estate “organically” with four to five new sites being added each year.

The pub will seat some 180 inside in the large property which has many spacious, airy rooms, and plenty more intimate nooks and crannies.

“We’ve been trying to get into the Wirral for many years now”, said managing director Mary Willcock. ”But it was essential we found the right site: the Red Fox, formerly the Grange Country Club, is an outstanding property in a wonderful location, and stands in its own beautifully landscaped grounds.”

“The bar is always at the heart of our pubs, while food is in our soul: we are a company of foodies and our pubs have been voted ‘County Dining Pub of the Year’ by the Good Pub Guide on over 35 occasions now. We are setting the quality bar just as high at the Red Fox”

Brunning and Price operates its pubs as close as possible to the model of the independent owner-operator with pubs writing their own menus and selecting their own beers.
