Brewhouse & Kitchen has appointed Andy Spencer as its group operations director, MCA has learnt.
Spencer has spent 17 years with Greene King in a variety of roles, most recently as operations director for Metropolitan Pub Company.
He joins the Kris Gumbrell and Simon Bunn-led company as it targets growth beyond its currently 17-string estate after securing £7.7m funding.
Gumbrell said: “I have known Andy for nearly 20 years, we worked closely together within Greene King Pub Partners. He has great energy, passion and flair and we are all very excited that he has chosen to join us as group operations director on our mission to build a world class brewpub company.
“Andy has already met our exec team and will be joining us to lead our operations team in April. This is a pivotal appointment for our business and will allow myself and our MD, Simon Bunn, to expand our estate, grow our experience business and develop our brand.
“His first task will be to help us recruit more operations managers in readiness for our planned expansion over the next two years.”
