Alchemy Partners, the private equity group, is to continue to back the 12-strong Nightjar Bars operation, on the back of Revolution Bars Group’s confirmation this morning that it intends to float next month, M&C Report understands.

Nightjar Bars, which was incorporated last year, is led by Carl Anderson, who formerly worked for nightclub operator Yellowhammer and Rank Group and operates the Rift & Co concept.

It is thought that the decision to retain the unbranded Nightjar operation could see Alchemy look to off load the portfolio later this year.

The company operates Revolution Bars which have been de-branded are now all named Rift & Co, which it said had enabled the implementation of “tailor made local operating formats and solutions in order to achieve the best commercial results for these locations”.

Another director of Nightjar Bars Limited is Alan Murray, a former finance director of Folio Hotels.

The food menu at the Rift & Co sites includes sharing plates at prices typically around £5 each, flatbreads and burriots for around the £8 mark, and stone baked pizzas from about £7 to £10. Burgers, hot dogs and salads are also available.

The drinks menu has a strong focus on cocktails and wine.
