Adventure Bar Group has secured a site in Waterloo for its fifth opening and agreed funding for further expansion in 2017, MCA has learnt.

The group has this week exchanged on a former retail unit on Waterloo Road close to the station.

Co-founder Tom Kidd told MCA he hoped the site would be open by April after undergoing a £250,000 refurbishment.

On the style of operation, he said: “It will be very much in the style that has been successful for us so far – a standalone, vertical-drinking proposition. All our sites have their own unique elements but the core proposition remains constant.”

Kidd also confirmed to MCA that the group had agreed a £500,000 facility from Oak North Bank which will allow it to refurbish the Waterloo site and bring online another site this year.

The group’s most recent venue – the Escapologist in Seven Dials - opened last April.
