Adventure Bar Group has acquired the Electricity Showrooms in Shoreditch from Barworks after securing a further £2.5m funding package from OakNorth, MCA has learnt.

The Tom Kidd-led group will convert the ground floor of the site to its Tonight Josephine brand – an iteration of which already operates in Waterloo. The basement will be converted to a new concept.

The six-strong group is also converting its Covent Garden Adventure Bar to a new format, Blame Gloria, with a re-launch due in the next six months.

It is the second package of £2.5m that OakNorth has provided for Adventure Bar’s growth.

Kidd told MCA that he expected the Shoreditch and Covent Garden projects to be the focus for the rest of the year.
