Nick Mackenzie, CEO of Greene King, Coronation Ale

Greene King CEO Nick Mackenzie joins the line up at this year’s Pub Conference.

In a keynote fireside chat, he will discuss where the pub company is investing in its pubs and new formats, why its cultural transformation matters to teams and customers, and the group’s plans for long-term sustainable growth.

With a number of brands under its umbrella, providing a variety of experiences for its customers, Greene King is a fine example of a modern hospitality business.

This year, the MCA conference for the pub and bar sector takes place on 26 June at The Ham Yard Hotel, London and will feature a full day of presentations and panels, including Q&As with industry leaders.

Mackenzie joined Greene King in May 2019 from Merlin Entertainments plc where he spent 17 years, most recently managing director of Midway Attractions, the largest division within the group.

He started his career in pubs at Bass and Allied and held a non-executive director role at Daniel Thwaites PLC before joining Greene King and is also chair of the British Beer & Pub Association.

The conference schedule is also set to include sessions from J D Wetherspoon founder and chairman Sir Tim Martin, Brasserie Bar Co’s Richard Ferrier, and Stonegate CEO David McDowall .

Also on the agenda, a women leaders panel hosted by Karen Bosher, hospitality consultant and ex Greene King MD, and an innovation showcase panel with The Devonshire, Buzzworks and Little Door & Co
