Pubs of Distinction has acquired its second site.

It has acquired the leasehold interest of The Old Red Cow in Smithfield Market, London, for an undisclosed sum off a guide price of around £140,000.

Davis Coffer Lyons (DCL) handled the deal.

The fledgling operator, which bought its first pub, The Dean Swift in London’s Butler’s Wharf in May 2010, is actively looking for more sites, M&C Report understands.

The group plans to introduce itsr Beer House concept that is built around a wide range of beverages, good food, in a personalised pub environment.

The previous owner, Nathan Bryant, will retain an operational role within the new company.

Phil Strongman, operations director, said: “We are delighted to acquire our second site in such a vibrant and interesting area. We feel our niche offer will appeal to our prospective customers and bring something different and original to the market.”
