Miso, the London-based noodle concept, has opened the second site under its Pier 1 fish & chips brand in London’s Haymarket and is understood to be interested in opening further units under the format. The company, which is led by Olgun Remzi, opened its first site under the Pier 1 name in Camden, after converting its Miso site in the London borough. Earlier this year, it converted the Miso in haymarket to the Pier 1 format and is understood to looking at further sites in the capital to roll out the brand. The group recently sold its Miso unit in Hoxton Square, Shoreditch, to Byron, the chain of up-market burger restaurants. The sale of the site leaves the company with an estate of six Miso sites in Bromley, Beckenham, Islington, Richmond and two in Croydon. The group appointed Davis Coffer Lyons (DCL) at the end of last year to dispose of three Miso sites as part of a strategy to consolidate its portfolio and expand into other regions. DCL acted on behalf of Miso on the sale of the Shoreditch site to Byron.
