Kornicis Group, the London-based bar and restaurant operator, has placed a package of five London-based Jamies Wine Bars on the market, M&C Report has learnt.

The Nick Tamblyn-led group has appointed Rob Meadows at Davis Coffer Lyons to sell its Jamies site in Minories, Alban Gate, Groveland Court, Tudor Street and Suffolk Lane. Premiums are being sought for each site, with rents per annum ranging from £42k to £59k.

Kornicis currently operates 11 Jamies across London, plus two Smollenskys sites and a number of unbranded bars and restaurants.

Last year it disposed of its Henry J Beans site in Chelsea to Richard Caring and closed its other UK site under the brand in Manchester.

Having secured an acquisition facility with Barclays bank in June 2014, Tamblyn told M&C Report earlier this year that the group “certainly hopes to be opening a number of sites for 2015” with a number of City locations currently under review.

Meanwhile a change of ownership is pending following the sale of the National Bank of Greece’s private equity business (NGBI), which was let go of as a non-core asset of the Bank last summer.

He added the strategy for 2015 is clear: “We have some products that are very strong and we continue to be very consumer focused.”
