Levantine restaurant Ceru has exited its Soho site and is relocating to Queensway, MCA understands.

The Barry Hilton-led business is leaving its site on 11 D’Arblay Street, after failing to agree a way forward with landlord Pearl & Coutts over rent expectations during lockdown.

The prime Soho site is now being marketed by Shelley Sandzer.

Ceru has taken a site on 11A Queensway, which is part of Levy Real Estate and Bourne Capital’s West Walk Estate.

The concept will join Pizza Pilgrims and Rosa’s Thai at the £30m development, which aims to create the “Covent Garden of West London”, for a June opening.

Ceru will remain at its Bute Street, South Kensington location.
