Bill’s Produce, the grocery and café concept run by the entrepreneurs behind Cote, will open its fifth site in May, in Cambridge. The group is set to open on the site of the former Slug & Lettuce on the town's Green Street, which occupies a building that used to be part of a large department store. Marcus Cload, a director, told M&C Report, that the group hoped to open further sites this year and that it was continuing to seek suitable expansion opportunities for the concept. The company recently opened a London flagship site in the St Martin’s Courtyard development in Covent Garden, alongside Jamie’s Italian. The group, which was founded by Bill Collison and is backed by Richard Caring, currently has three other sites in Brighton, Lewes and Reading. DCL is understood to have advised on the deal.
