While restaurants are feeling the pinch, profits are rocketing at Domino’s Pizza. Trading is strong with sales up 11% and profits should be nearly £2m this year. Internet sales and the soggy British summer helped it deliver £296.3m of pizza last year and the company hopes that lower consumer spending in 2008 will help gain potential restaurant customers put off by the cost of eating out. Shares are tipped as a “buy”. The Independent 23/02/08 (save&spend) page 14 The Daily Mail 23/02/08 page 110 (City & Finance) The Financial Times 23/02/08 (Companies & Markets) page 17
