Nicholas Wong is to step down as group finance director at Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) to join David Page’s new investment vehicle Fulham Shore, M&C Report understands.

Wong joined the then owners of GBK, Clapham House Group in May 2004 to head up its group finance. He was appointed group finance editor in September the following year.

Previous to joining Clapham House he spent the majority of his career specialising in corporate finance, having worked on due diligence, flotation and acquisition assignments, transactions within the property and leisure industries, as well as the company’s acquisition of The Real Greek.

He is set to join Fulham Shore, which was set up by ex-Clapham House chairman Page in 2011, at the start of January.

Earlier this year, the new restaurant venture reported a loss of £125.2k for the year to March 2013 and said it continued to seek investment opportunities which have “potential for significant capital growth”.
