James Watts, the highly-regarded vice president of human resources, KFC UK & Ireland, has been promoted by parent company Yum! Brands to chief people officer at Pizza Hut International, M&C Report understands.
Watts will now oversee HR for Yum! Brands’ 6,000-strong Pizza Hut International division, which is spread across 90 countries.
He has been with Yum! Brands since 2004 and spent the last three years overseeing KFC UK & Ireland’s human resources functions across its c850 sites.
He will work out of the Fort Worth area of Dallas in his new role.
KFC is rolling out a brand new design across its estate after launching an “informal and stylish” new interior with an open plan kitchen at its Bracknell branch.
The new design, which will be rolled out from next March onwards, includes exposed brickwork, wooden tables and an eclectic mixture of furniture styles with hand-painted wall art and low-hanging light fittings.
