Vapiano appoints director of operations

Vapiano has appointed Steve Collard as its director of operations (UK).

Collard’s most recent role was director of operations for Gourmet Burger Kitchen, prior to which he was head of ops for Honest Burgers.

His other roles include regional MD for Nando’s UK & Ireland, as well as founder and director for two businesses, Mia Rosa Restaurant and Traffic Bar Café.

Earlier this year, Vapiano UK managing director Craig Goslin spoke to MCA about reinventing the brand’s customer journey following its restructure.

The Germany-based Italian cuisine chain opened its sixth UK site and first since 2018 in Paddington in December 2022.

Commenting on his appointment, Collard posted on LinkedIn: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Vapiano, buzzing about the plans & the challenge ahead!”
