The Restaurant Group has promoted Elise Ash to the role of strategy and brand director, MCA understands.

The move comes six months after she joined the group as brand director after five years at SSP

It is understood that Ash will have an overarching role across the company’s suite of restaurant brands.

MCA reported last October that Murray McGowan had left his role as managing director of TRG’s Leisure division. At the time, the company said the move was part of a restructure of the division, with responsibility to be shared across a variety of roles.

Since then TRG has promoted Ollie Humphries to managing director of its Frankie & Benny’s brand, while Coast to Coast managing director Angelo Gabrilatsou has taken on responsibility for Chiquito, Garfunkel’ s, Joe’s Kitchen and Filling Station.

The company this month launched the search for a new chief executive, following the announcement by Andy McCue that he was stepping down from his role.
