Godfrey Russell is to step down as property director of Revolution Bars Group after 21 years in the role, MCA understands.

He will be replaced by Alex Stanhope, wo has spent just over a year as property director at the Deltic Group.

Stanhope has previously held roles at Holland & Barrett and Halfords.

Russell joined the group just a year after the opening of the first Revolution in Manchester and has since helped the estate to grow to 73 sites.

Deltic chief executive Peter Marks said: “We wish Alex all the very best in his new role but, of course, we’re sad to see him go. He will continue to assist us as we look for a replacement for him in that role.”

Last year Deltic made an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to merge with Revolution in reaction to Stonegate’s takeover bid.
