Nicky Sellers has stepped down from Giraffe and Ed’s Easy Diner owner Boparan Restaurant Group to join East Coast Concepts, the company behind North West-based casual dining brands Neighbourhood and Victor’s, as its new operations director.

Sellers was head of learning and development at Boparan after initially becoming head of operations for Giraffe in January 2016.

She was previously head of operational capability at Mitchells & Butlers.

East Coast Concepts is planning to make its debut in the south of England, with an opening in Oxford.

The group, which last year secured a multi-million pound injection of development capital from private equity firm NorthEdge Capital, is understood to have lined up an opening for its Victor’s restaurant and bar concept at the Westgate shopping scheme that will open later this year.

East Coast Concepts, which was founded by entrepreneur James Hitchen and his brother Guy, currently operates the all-day eatery and late bar Neighbourhood in Spinningfields, Manchester and Liverpool; plus the East Coast inspired Victor’s, based in Hale.

The company said that investment would allow the company to roll out the two concepts in city centres and suburban locations across the UK.

It has lined up an opening for Neighbourhood in Leeds.

It is set to open in Yorkshire House, in Greek Street in the city.
