Cote CEO Alex Scrimgeour is leaving the business following its acquisition by Partners Group, with Jane Holbrook to take over as executive chair.

MCA understands the rest of the senior management team will remain in place, including chief financial officer Strahan Wilson.

Former Wagamama CEO Holbrook was as announced as chair last week, as it was revealed the French brasserie business had been acquired in a pre-pack administration.

Scrimgeour has been with the business since its early days under Richard Caring’s ownership.

It initially he would stay on under the new owners following the announcement last week.

Partners Group, a global private markets investment manager, and previously a debt holder in Cote. is reported to have “ambitious plans” for the business.

The transaction secures the immediate future of 94 restaurants and all of the 3,148 employees working under the Côte brand have transferred to the purchasers.
