The Curious Group, the restaurant advisory group and operator led by former Rocket Restaurants founder and managing director Duncan Watts, is to launch a new restaurant and bar venture in London’s Shoreditch, called the Jones Family Project, M&C Report understands.
The new venue, which will open in Old Street, will feature 200-covers split over two floors. It will include a restaurant and bar, while also offer a space for events and arts shows.
The company said: “We need to attract the local community, Londoners generally and international visitors and we intend to get the reputation to make that happen new restaurant in Shoreditch.”
Watts left the Rocket in 2011 after it was merged into the Luke Johnson-backed 3Sixty Restaurants, after founding the group in 1999.
Previous to that he spent seven years as finance and commercial director at Pitcher & Piano.
