Conrad Patterson has stepped down as operations director of the Ignite Group, the Matt Hermer-led business, MCA has learnt.

Patterson stepped down after over three years with the Eclipse and Bumpkin brand operator to start his own consultancy business Gallus & Capra Hospitality Management Services.

MCA revealed earlier this year that Hermer was considering his options for Ignite, including the sale of the whole or parts of the business.

It is understood that Hermer appointed property advisors James Andrew International to sound out interest in the group’s seven-strong UK estate, which includes the Boujis club in Thurloe Street, plus Bumpkin sites in South Kensington, Westfield Stratford and Chelsea.

Lobos, the “meat and tapas bar” concept, is to double its presence in London, after securing Hermer’s Yop Dog site in Soho’s Frith Street.

The fledgling concept, which is the brainchild of three former Tapas Brindisa employees Roberto Castro, Ruben Maza and Joel Placeres, is understood to have secured the former Top Dog site for an opening later this year.
