Palmers, the West Dorset-based brewer and pub company, has appointed Jim Jones as its new tenanted trade director.
Jones, who will take up his new position at Palmers in August, previously worked for Greene King’s Metropolitan Pub Company. He will be responsible for the company’s 54 pubs and inns.
Jones replaces Jayson Perfect who joined Butcombe Brewery as its first managing director of pubs at the end of last year.
Palmers operate traditional tenancies across West Dorset, South Somerset and East Devon.
The company said that its pubs have consistently out-performed the market growing at over 8% each year since 2013.
“I am delighted to welcome Jim to Palmers,” said John Palmer, chairman and managing director. “He joins us at a very exciting time in the company’s history. Our pubs are thriving, we have several landmark projects that are due to commence in the next twelve months and we look forward to Jim bringing his wealth of experience in developing high end volume food pubs to the business.”
